So I just got a letter in the mail, saying that i have been nominated for the Global Young Leaders Conference. Apparently, becuase of my "academic achievements" they have requested that I go to this thing for 12 days during the summer, and either take the U.S. tour, and go to Washington D.C. and New York city, or go to Europe tour and visit cities over there. I would be learning about about politics and history, things like that.
Of course, the U.S. one costs over 2,000 dollars, and the European one costs over 4,000 dollars.
What im wondering is, is this something they send to every kid in the U.S. who gets good grades and is willing to pay thousands of dollars, or am I just lucky? Did anyone else hear about this thing?

wow. Ms. Cook is playing Napolean Dynomite today in english. fun.
Besides getting out of school and walking around in USC, today wasnt that great either.
I did get a rose though from the rose garden infront of the science center, because Sinta's mom works there. We got to ride around on her moms little cart thing also, it was very pretty.
Should i keep the rose or should i give it to someone?

CAHSEE testing today. (pronounced CASHEE of course, becuase LACES is oh so smart.)
I just had to tell you all incase you were abducted in the last 24 hours and somehow missed everyone else's monstrous picture posts and descriptions of the actual test. (im speaking of course to the LACES kids and such...)
In other news, im missing school for two days, yet i somehow seem to have more homework than i have had in a really long time. ahhh fuck.
Ive also been talking to my mom about a lot of stuff recently *gasp* and ive discovered that im actually insanely like her instead of my dad. Sucks to have two super emotional parents, yes? So next time your wondering what the fuck is wrong with me, blame my parents.
I really hope things work out ok.

Lainna and I got there early. Stood a lot. Stood a loooooooot. My legs were numb.
Finally the first band comes on... they were ok, not so great really.
Second band, the Shout Out Louds were very good. They were from somewhere in Europe. I think last night ive heard more accents than i ever have in my entire life.
Waited another hour, the Futureheads came on. OH man it was amazing. One of the best shows ive ever been to. At one point they decided to split up the crowd, with one half singing Ross's part, and the other singing Russle's part, it was great. And I couldnt stop laughing.
Best part was, after the show lainna and i got hit on TWICE by two different guys. The first one ran up and it took him 5 minutes to tell us his name, filled with "i dont knows" and "ums" and "you guys just seemed like interesting people" but after he said his name he ran off, and Lainna and looked at eachother and went "awww"
The second guy was better at it, and we had a nice conversation. It was fun :)

Went to the grove afterschool. it was alriiiight. but i saw Danny Masterson (hyde from that 70's show) at the mac store, and that tootally made the day awesome. oh lordy lord.
I just saw Donnie Darko for the first time tonight (yes, the first time, dont yell at me) and im just getting over the shakes now. That was by far the creepiest movie i have ever seen.
I also saw Primer too, it was shown first, and it was confusing. Saw em with Lainna at the new beverly cinema.
Spent the afternoon hanging out with Willie, we chilled in Pottery Barn. And Jesse was lazy and didnt come, so i should kick him.
I also got hit on by some men from the special olymics. I walked to the bus stop, they came up to me and kissed my hand, told me they were in the special olympics, and then asked if i was married or single. They seemed very upset when I told them I was too young to get married. And James and some other kids were skating in the street.. foolish boys.
I love how i start my entry from the end of my day and go backward. I guess im still thinking about that damn bunny.

Soo, I figure its finally time i post all of these pictures.
Last night was the talent show, it was highly amusing. Tim did a whole re-enactment of the Napolean Dynomite dance, he had the hair and the "vote pedro" shirt and everything. Haha, it was a very good idea.
Mr. Lieberman played guitar and sang an Usher song.. he is so insanely cute.
and umm... a couple of horrible bands, some bad singers, and you got yourself a regular highschool talent show.
